CONNECTING PEOPLE TO GOD…THROUGH EDUCATION

 

On Sundays:

 

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Meets every Sunday during the morning service for 3 and 4 year olds.  Objective: to help them get used to attending church while giving their parents an enjoyable worship experience.  The children learn easy Bible songs, hear a short Bible story, and do a simple craft related to the story

 

SONQUEST (Connecting Kids to Christ)

A ministry for children in 5K through 5th grade which seeks to teach children about God and the saving work of Jesus Christ.  5K-Grade 3 meets during the Sunday morning service.  Grades 4-5 meet after the morning service from 10:50-11:40.  The 25-minute lesson focuses on a different Bible story or character and helps the children relate the story to their lives.  The 25-minute small group time is spent doing an activity relating the lesson to the students’ personal lives.  All ages participate in a time of music from 10:30-10:50.

 

CHURCH SCHOOL

Meets every Sunday from 10:50-11:40 AM during September through May for youth in grades 6-12.  Classes study Church History,  the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and topics related to the 10 Commandments.   Classes are arranged according to number of students in each age group.

 

TEEN BOOST (for high school-age teens)

Meets once/month usually after the Sunday evening service.  They also get together with Youth Groups from other churches for Praise & Worship.  Plans are also made for fund-raising activities which enable the youth to participate in summer SERVE projects and youth conventions.  These include church suppers and breakfasts, car washes, etc.  Local service projects include making table favors for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner and delivering Christmas baskets to widows, widowers, shut-ins and elderly.      

 

ADULT CHURCH SCHOOL

Meets after the morning church service from 10:50-11:40 and discusses a variety of topics.

 

 

 

FAMILY NIGHT MINISTRY

First & Third Wednesday Sept.-May

Supper  5:30-6:15 pm

 

ACTIVITIES:

 

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) is a relationship-building program for girls in grades 1-8.  They meet from 6:15-7:30 PM for praise and worship, Bible studies, badge work and crafts.

 

Cadets, a program for boys in grades 1-8 to help them grow spiritually in all areas of life (devotional, emotional, physical and social).  They also meet from 6:15-7:30 PM.

 

Kingdom Kids, a class for children ages 3-5.

 

A Nursery for children up to 3 years old while their parents attend an evening class.

 

Bible Studies for men and women are available either at church or a short drive away.

 

Adult Large Group Sessions meet in the sanctuary to view video presentations & discussion on a variety of subjects.

 

 

Other Small Group Studies for men, women, singles, or couples are held at various times on other days of the month.  Contact Jay Hogfeldt (458-6903) for information and to sign up.
